Suspension settings - accomodating driver weight Tue, 18 January 2005 23:36 Go to previous message
After yet another battle in the garage last night, i have finally got the car running happily in terms of suspension. I tweaked the castor, fiddled with toe settings and re-flared the guards while taking off the undermounts for the bumper (to allow max castor)

I also noticed one side of the car (driver's) was sitting lower than the other (front) so, out came the mallet and screwdriver to adjust the coilover rings on one side to raise it abit. After raising the driver's side about 10mm higher than the other, i experimented with this setting to allow my weight to neautralise the suspension when seated.

Went for a drive, and it felt different somewhat, but my first reaction was that it improved the balance of the overall car but I'm still skeptical if this infact had any effect on the suspension.

thoughts?
