Grab your multimeter and check the voltage of the battery.
If it shows less than 12V chuck her on the charger.

Also take of the +ve lead and test the current flow by whacking your multimeter on DC current (10A or 20A range) and whack your probes between the lead and terminal and see how much residual current is being lost through the system.
Note: Have the car completely turned off (not even accessories) when testing this.
Normal residual current is around 50-100mA to power your clock and keep the ECU's memory.
