I like the strips toyota put on our celicas, but i wish they had made them easier to replace.
As for weber carbies, there are two ways I would go. The first is the Weber 32/36 downdraft carby, not too hard to find, usually cheap (Got mine for $50 off ebay with filter!), simple to adjust.
Other option is 2x Weber DCOE 40mm sidedrafts or similar (Solex/Dellorto/etc). This option is much more expensive, more complicated to setup, requires new manifold, etc.
The 32/36 just needs an adaptor plate to bolt up to the stock intake manifold, I bought one from redline. Not the best build quality, but it works.

The 20R/21R/22R(e) camshafts are interchangable, so a cam to suit a 22R can bolt into a 21R.
