option number two sounds alright but as rob_RA40 has said "u won't get much bang for buck". option 2 may incress power slightly and give a slightly better fuel economy. Exhaust mods can help but are not as good as what some people think. If you are expecting alot of power from an exhaust, your going the wrong way. Engine modifications are the way too go to make the car quicker.
I'm not telling you what to do or anything. thats just my personal opinion. but If you wan't it too have a bit of a note (don't like the sound of 4 cyls with exhaust myself) option 2 would be a good way to do it.
