My first year of Engineering I did pretty much everything I did in high school. ie they crammed 2 years of chemistry, maths & physics into 1 semester subjects each. This was to make sure that everyone was up to the same standard.
I think the only bridging course that some people did was for tech drawing.
I'd ring up the uni & find out about this detail.
Oh, and congrats, but now you're going to have to work you're butt off.
I breezed through high school with not study at all & got a TE score (old Qld system) of 985 (means I was in top 2.5% of the state). So I no idea how to study for uni.
I only had 2 semsters in Uni where I DIDN'T fail something.
This really sucked coz by 3rd year I was out of synch with all my mates, & in 6th year I didn't know anyone at all (was 2 years in some stuff by then)

They did this at UTS too... but they crammed 2 years of crap into half a semester... after going to the first months lectures Witzl and I decided that the subject was just the same shit we did in high school and so we skipped a whole bunch of the lectures... bad idea... somewhere in the middle of the semester they started a whole crapload of new material and so at the next tutorial we bothered to go to Witzl and I were sitting there acting like we had fairly floss for brains or something!
Moral of the story... don't go to uni unless you're willing to commit 110% (i.e. 100% of 5.5 years for a 5 year course)
And don't be afraid to admit failure by dropping a subject before you hit the academic penalty cutoff.. it is FAR better than the alternative!
