do a whois the domain name
search the ASIC business name registry for their name or ABN
search the yellowpages for the business name(s)
google the business name
see if the details like address, phone #, ABN, ACN, etc match up
your state consumer watchdog may have a list of dodgy firms to avoid
also - it looks like the nass mob use a merchant facility from a bank - tho the certificate on their own https server is out of date or in someway erroring in my web browser.
fwiw: i buy cheapo home computer hardare from a local firm up here - i place the order online but then come in and collect and pay cash - saves having to trust a bunch of nobodies with my credit card.
