Shieldsy Occasional Poster Location: A.C.T Registered: May 2004	engine troubles 4afe Wed, 26 January 2005 07:55 Ok well i have a 1991 nova with a 4afe in it. i changed the battery in the car and since i have had problems with it being really really laggy. i think i have diagnosed the problem.. the air intake is not a constant stream instead of sucking air in at a constant rate it chuggs.. by chuggs i mean <insert voice here>chug chug chug chug chug chug<insert voice here> the car runs like it's got no low down power at all.. and revs up real real slow... i have tried putting the old battery back in but still the same problem... i'm really confused.. could i have tripped the throttle sensor or something like that when i changed the battery? has the car gone into some sort of engine management mode? in short i need help...
