I'm not sure what the exact setup should be but the guys that put my engine in used rubber tubing, about the thickness of vacuum tubing. And just used a couple of tee pieces. Make sure you have a breathing outlet otherwise the pressure will blow your dipstick out. My breather goes to the atmosphere, some people have it go to the aircleaner, and some have a oil catch can with a breather filter.
Also make sure it is fastened on to the oil return on the side of the engine as mine has sprayed a little out and made an oily mess.

I will see about taking some photo for you.

Another idea to make it tidier would be to talk to someone like
pirtek or another professional hose company, but I am not sure about that I haven't looked into it.

If you investigate pirtek please share what you find.
