the old 4age race motor in the mr2 ran a ported small port head, forged, small journal groupA crank, cosworth forged pistons (10.5:1 - too low c/r for the cams), 320 duration 9.8mm atlantic cams, shim-under buckets, race valve springs, alloy flywheel, 4-1 extractors, quad t/b's & adjustable cam gears. (and programmable engine management, with no emissions stuff)
this motor made 96kw at the wheels, with some odd driveshaft angles (so it probably made about 105kw in an ideal installation)
with a higher c/r bottom end (11.5/12.5:1) it possibly would have made 115kw - and it would have been classed as almost streetable...
if you are running standard lift, ~11:1 cr, factory extractors etc, Bill's estimate will be about spot on.
fyi - the mr2 is now being rebuilt totally spaceframe with a current celica 2zz motor in there.....
