Arr, so it dosent use the normal engine cooling system, that makes a bit more sense...
Purple_Beasty: when you say pinch the radiator and (electric?) pumps from a wrx, do you mean that the wrx has a water to air setup stock? I have no idea on the setup, coz they've never interested me (they arent Toyota or Mazda are they!)
I'm guessing if i could fit the water-to-air core in the place of the std GZE IC (if it actually clears the bonnet) then I wont have to change the length of the intake piping at all. Then I just run water hoses to another radiator (dont know where I'm going to put it) and an inline electric pump. Sounds simple enough.
Welding a box around the std IC is a good idea, I might experiment with that, ta
Still, anyone know the cost of a second hand water to air core perchance? And what cars run them stock?
Norbie: yeah, im sure I could hide a FMIC, just covering all other options before I make my final decision ...
