I describe myself as an "enthusiastic" driver. With only 19000km's of this sort of driving (no burn-outs) my tyres, all round, were bald.

WTF are you doing to them!? I would describe my driving as the same, and my Potenza RE711's (which are almost identical to G3's) lasted a SHITLOAD longer than that. Closer to 35-40k and they only were removed because I wore the edges too far down on one end.
