I think a v8 soarer with 200,000 on it would still be a pretty reliable car. However, you'd have to be buying it for low Teens to make it a good buy.
In the event that this engine did die, import engines can be picked up extremely cheap if you already have a computer etc.
If you buy this make sure you get a mechanic to do a complete inspection. Also be sure to drive a few low klm examples so you can compare.
With the TT I would stay away from cars with K's that high. The turbos will most likely have trouble in the near future. But then again if a younger car had been mistreated it could be just as bad a buy.
My TT had 101,000 on it when I picked it up. Thats pretty average but it was in excellent condition everywhere else and is far from High anyway.
It really can be a gamble. Just work out if you bought the cheap V8, are you saving enough to justify the high K's.
