How many revs do you have to dial up before it kicks in? Or is it only when the car is rolling? ie. a certain speed is the magic number when it starts working
I always thought some ecu's were designed to compensate for power steering at idle to up the revs to handle the added load. Also that some car's power steering was made lighter when the revs are at idle, to help with parking (I'm sure I've felt this on some cars and heard a change in engine note). Though I'm no expert on this could there be some sort of sensor missing?
Unless of course the restrictor Rob mentioned serves this purpose?
