Take this example: HPI Supra/ Soarer special edition.
JZA70 Supra- HKS GT3540, Power FC, all other needed mods to make 2 bar out of the turbo, stock internals and Nitto tyres. 1/4 mile time: 10.6 sec.
With this setup, you'd make 2nd place on our HPI street records.

Am I to assume the aformentioned supra runs a 1J?
Regardless, The 1JZ is a great engine, but it's at the bottom of it's class. You're just putting yourself at a disadvantage for no good reason. Anything you can fit a 1JZ in you can fit a 1UZ in. And if you're going to add a dirty great turbo and aftermarket management to the 1jz, have a look at the RA28 in perth, it ran a 9.5 (Tubbed rear) with a 1UZ, 2 turbo's, extra fuel rail and management about 500KW or something I think...
