Any engineer who wants your money will pass it providing its safe. I'm in the process of getting my Toyota V8 engineered. Just make sure you fill out the paper work before you begin anything. If you put anything in thats got 25% more capacitiy, or 25% more power, you will need it engineered. A 22RE is about all you will legally be able to fit - That won't require engineering.
