A T18 or for those of you who would prefer a chasis code TE72 has a T50 gearbox and a T series Diff and a shaft almost identical to a sprinter excepting spline numbers, so tell me just how a T50 is | Quote: |

granted T50's have some syncro issues however for thier size and weight they are a fairly robust box. t series diffs are fine for thier intended purpose in a N/A setup, they were never designed to take the torque load of a turbo. Piss weak? I dont think so, mismatched to application? absolutley by too many people wo get all upset and then claim they are weak.. oh please  take a look at the whole car package before you critisise a particular componenet
if you just doubled you engine power of course the driveline will most likely be unable to cope!
yes there are stronger boxes and diffs that will be more than adequate, remeber theres always a trade off... in the case of hilux diffs and W5X gearboxes it will be weight, and therefore power to weight ratio
