Manny Forums Junkie Location: Sydney Registered: May 2002	Re: 1J HKS 264 Cams Tue, 01 February 2005 10:30 These are great cams with a very nice midrange and decent top end - has been described as feeling like a third turbo kicks in at 4000rpm in my Soarer. Idle can be pretty much tuned smooth or raised 500rpm higher to cover it up - only negative is the slight loss of brake booster vacuum efficiency but is minimal and expected with most cam upgrades. These 264/step 2 HKS cams are also the largest you can go while still maintaining a non-interference 1JZ-GTE engine - I found out the hard way recently when a cambelt belt broke prematurely with only 11,000kms on it - to my surprise, valves and pistons didn't touch as I previously expected!
