You can use the 4ac tank with an externally mounted pump, as long as you replace all of the old fuel hose with high pressure efi hose, and mount the pump where it cant be damaged.
Its also a good idea to run a new fuel line if you plan on any mods later down the track. I used an 8mm line out of an EA.
