Alchemist Forums Junkie Location: Sydney Registered: January 2003	Re: Beware the pink slip Wed, 02 February 2005 11:48 Yup always a good idea to check the engine bay out and wipe out any excess oil, although it's bad that there is an oil leak somewhere.. My mechanic(before he retired) was looking at my old TA23 when he was giving me the pink slip he said. "the boys found some drips of oil around the engine bay, they've wiped them up and we've passed the car". He did tell me where they were and recommended I come in as soon as possible to get them looked at. He certainly didn't stop my getting my pink slip, that's a money grab unless it's a serious un-roadworthy issue like crap brakes, structural rust etc... [Report message to a moderator]
