I recomend you get a JZA70 supra if you want to save money on a conversion to a 2jz.

When you get sick of/or motor blows in the JZA70 you can pretty much just get a 2jz engine with loom and you already have the car to put it into. Crossmember is there, Gearbox, bellhousing ready to bolt up to the 2jz. Just have to tackle the wiring and a few other bits and pieces.

I too want to convert my supra to a 2jz-gte.
Except i have an MA70, i'd have to buy the 1jz half cut, convert my car to a JZA70, and then get the 2JZ engine/loom. That's gonna cost a shitload :(- May aswell keep saving and sell the MA70 and buy JZA80 in that case.
