 4K no spark, help?

My KE70 with a 4k suddenly died on me the other day, I turned a left hand corner and it cut out I pulled up check over the engine hopped
in the car and it started, drove in a straight line turned left
again and it died, however it wouldnt run after this.
Ive replaced the rotor button, distributor cap, points and coil.
but its done nothing, turns ova no spark not even from the coil.
The balast resistor is getting really hot.
Cant seem to find it shorting out anywhere.
Anyone have any ideas? has quite a few people baffled.
