Recently for a UNI piss-up day we did an 'engine endurance test' for which I got hold of a 4AC from an AE82 corolla. We set it up on the ground with some stakes holding it upright with a jerry can feeding fuel into the carby.
Results:
We ran it for just less than 5 mins on full throttle with NO water and very little oil. The thing cooked like a mother but just kept on going. No one could believe it. After 2 mins she was blowing so much steam all the little remaining oil sprayed everywhere...but still kept going until she fillally seized.
Finally we pulled her apart after an hour of cooling to find a massive hole inbetween the 2nd and 3rd cylinder in the block and the bottom end was all seized up.
All the other uni bogans reckon it was by far a record from many previous years of using a holden 202 motor.
