celicamad Forums Junkie Location: newcastle Registered: June 2002	Re: 1jz Internals Thu, 14 November 2002 22:29 actually i agree but i guess what im saying is a basic rebuild But the $10,000 budget is pretty close The argo rods ARE that cheap well i dug up the quote actaully $1860 but you get the idea .I live 5 KLM from argo's workshop and these rods are almost half the price from the U.S . I found a guy over there that has sets made up in bulk for a 1j . Oh yeah and the final capacity with piston rod assembly is almost 3 litres Or he does a carrillo rod,race piston assembly with a custom crank for only $9,000 ....OUCH!!! Contact NIZPRO in Melbourne or have any GTR guy in N.Z look at itthe two engines are VERY similar when it comes to a BIG rebuild [Updated on: Thu, 14 November 2002 22:31] [Report message to a moderator]
