styler Forums Junkie Location: brisbane Registered: October 2004	Re: k50 box rear seal Tue, 08 February 2005 07:11 yeah it can be done with the tailshaft out and oil drained... make a tapping puller - thick wire, 1 end bent to form a hook (slightly overbent) then a tapper to tap it out, like a 1/4pound hammer head to slide on the wire (the other end needs a stopper) or tie the hammer onto the wire with thin rope. tap it moving around the seal and it should come out after about 12 goes. else a seal puller but some types seem to need the shaft out first i think. didnt take me long to make the tool, pull old seal out and press the new one in with a little wd40 and fingers, or just tap it in with a socket.
