My old girl is almost 32 years old and she's only got 130,000km on the clock. The head was overhauled in 1990 when she had 100,000 on the clock. So, she's only done 30,000k in the past 15years. Over it's life the car has been very reliable. In that time it's had the head serviced (as mentioned), radiator repaired, master cylinder overhauled and a new water pump. Had to get a welsh plug fixed about 10 years ago. And, of course the air-con fixed a couple of years ago. Late last year I got the carbs overhauled 'cos they were pretty stuffed. The motor runs like a new one. It's only on it's third set of tyres. naturally, she gets regular maintenance, plugs, oil, filters, etc. So, I can't complain about reliability or the car costing me heaps. seeyuzz river [Report message to a moderator]
