"jspec" on 4ag posted some impressive results running gze pistons on bluetop rods. He sold the ze piston/blue rod combo or you could send him your rods and he'd return them with ze pistons fitted. It sounded like a 'simple' machine shop process to me (from an email).
This was a couple years back, but I recall him saying he really preferred the free rev nature of the lighter bluetop assy on boost.

Of course you could spend the 'piston upgrade' money towards better engine management and get good results from 9.4:1. You don't have to blow it up.... unless you want to, eh. ze pistons wont bail you out from bad tuning
