conversion costs?

I'm currently tossing up whether to buy a half cut & complete a conversion myself, or to buy a car that has already been converted & then transfer the stuff from the rusted shell to a better one.
I've worked out the following costs for different things I'd need to do to get the halfcut it & what it'd cost me.
Can anyone suggest any things that I might leave out.
Note this is for a Subaru not a Toyota, but any conversion from carb to turbo efi involves similar things.
1. half cut of course (varies from $2500 to $4500)
2. EFI fuel tank, fuel lines, pump ($100)
3. modify engine cross member ($0)
4. modify steering column to hold ECU ($0)
5. modify rear suspension to accept sway bar ($0)
6. wire up ($0)
7. modify front chassis rails to accept larger radiator ($0)
8. weld up new gearbox crossmember ($20)
9. replace interior ($250)
10. shorten tailshaft ($200)
11. machining to rear hubs to convert to 5 stud discs ($100)
12. replace timing belt, fan belts, fuel lines, spark plugs, fuel filter ($150)
13. machine front arms to accept later model front struts ($50)
14. wheels ($350)
15. 2 x cartons of beer ($60) - 1 to pay for above $0 modifying & 1 to consume during conversion process
There are a couple of costs which I'd save by buying the other car & selling off unused parts
1. use non damaged panels to replaced damaged ones ($50)
2. sell instrument cluster & dashboard ($100)
3. sell left over panels (?)
4. scrap body (?)
Any thoughts would be good.
