its a silvertop. I asked the mechanic to look at the timing because i dont think its running that well. Ie: it backfires a bit on deceleration and feels a bit sluggish in take off (takes a bit to get going). This is my second corolla with a 20v, the last one ran like a dream (i put it in) and the new one (which i bought completed doesnt seem as good)
i normally use mobil 8000 or caltex vortex? i thought they were 98 octane (but i may be wrong)
maybe i should pay more attention at the pump! i'll have to start using shell optimax or BP it seems
Does anyone know a mechanic in Syd familliar with 20v engines?
Tobyoste - Yeah, he checked it and said it was ok. But said it pings slightly on acceleration and retards on deceleration and that he couldnt do much about it because it may f*ck the ecu???
