Thu, 17 February 2005 10:37 2JZ head bolt torque spec is 34 Nm + 90 degrees + 90 degrees (in 3 separate passes). Can't comment on 1JZ but I'd imagine it's the same. Use a marking pen and put a dot at the "front" of the bolt head (after you have torqued the bolt up to 34Nm) to give you a reference for each 90 degree pass.
