Cheers guys.
yesterday i checked the fuses. and sure enough the engine fuse was broke. put in a new one and she went fine. I am still unsure about the coil needing the postive from the battary tho. And the tacho works fine now to.
Anyhow we adjusted the timing and cleaned the points(they were filthy).
She runs smooth as now..
