If you don't want to get all 'scientificy', just go get a Jaycar Electronics Catalogue and find out the box specs for a similar 12 inch speaker to yours. Then times the box volume by 2, and 'bobs your uncle'.

Worked for me... i'm deaf now.
What?

My 2 x 12" sub box is tuned for 30hz
Specs are (mm): 360H, 1020L, 300D (with a 100mm port, 220mm long)
