I read somewhere recently about some new car coming out (some car we know & recognise, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a honda) with a 6 speed auto or a 5 speed manual. I thought a 6 speed auto was a bit funny......
But I can see how it'd be better, the engine wouldn't have to work as hard 'cos it would have more gears to work through, we don't have to bother shifting it. I bet the box is working its ass off though.
Although I guess this would be where the new technology was used to make the auto more efficiant & produce less heat/waste less energy for a given amount of work. Then the bugger can work a bit harder!
