If the engine light has come on, the engine computer may have logged an error code. Do a search both here and on the web in general, and you should be able to get the info you need to read an error code from the computer and thus find what the problem is. Mind u, i am assuming a few things with this, so if id doesnt sound right, let us know a few more details about the set up of the engine and wiring loom. Hope that helps! Craig.
