Forgot to add. The engine started getting very hot after a while of it reving up and down again, the bottom radiator hoses seemed fine and were cool, but the top hoses were too hot to touch.
Maybe a problem with the water circulating properly? Also thinking of possible thermostat failure?
Still have no idea about the high idle, didnt seem to be any leaks anywhere :-S
