Thats what my mechanic suspects aswell.
Havnt had a chance to have a good look at it yet or replace it because we were testing it out at about 10pm tonight, well last night haha.
I don't think he flushed the block.
I've had a look on the ALSC forums and they have said its fairly common for the 1JZ to idle high at about 2000rpm when cold, but yeh I think there has to be something you can do about it surely? Intake leak sounds about right from what my mechanic said. We'll have a good look at it first chance tomorrow.
I think he made sure the TPS was set correctly,I'll make sure
