Bleed the coolant. The process detailed in the toyota workshop manual works well but I find it's easier to put the rear of the car up in the air, on ramps or stands, then run the engine with the filler cap off and keep on topping up the coolant.
Obviously using the bleed up front for a while helps and you should have the heater turned on when doing this.
