both of which arent particularly cheap. sure, the engines are strong, but how well do they take to largeish revs on stock bottom ends.
it will still require money spent, no matter which engine you choose.

A conversion to a stock 2jz-ge would work out almost the same cost as a hot 7mge rebuild....and the 2jz-ge has more potential, and can handle a turbo later  I think its a good stepping stone
