i also have the same car, just make sure all the linkages are tight, they have a left hand thread on one end and a right hand thread on the other, so if u spin the ltnght of rod, it will either tighten or loosen, just make sure they are all loose,
if the ball is flopping about in the joint, then either get a new ball and or joint or just put a little blob of grease in the joint.
btw, i have twin carbs and a linkage, if i stab the throttle very quickly the car will throw my head back and will hurt the fuck out of my neck, its mad
linkage all the way
