yep thats what i did with mine, well i might not have been that anal about it and i only did a sand after the primer then another light rub back after 2 coats of paint, then i did another 2 coats of paint let that dry then did 3 coats of clear, has lasted 2 years so far without any flaking, so if you really take your time with it, remeber 85% of a good paint job is good preperation, and put a lot of effort in you can get very good results your self. I did this all out of 400g spray cans of toyota peak white that i got from autobarn i think that was the most expensive bit as the painy was about 12-15$ a can and i used i think 4 or 5 cans of white and 2 cans of clear
