have a look in the articles/tech section of this site, there is an informative piece describing the toyota engine nomenclature.
An f, ie 4A-FC means an economic twin cam, they are on most of the later corollas (ie not KExx), unless it is a sports model etc then you get a G series twin cam.
Read the article, it is pretty straight forward.
So yes you have a twin cam- not a good one, but twin cam nonetheless.
