a hilux diff stud pattern can easily be changed, and would probably be the cheapest option. hilux diffs are available in quite a few different widths, and if u can get one narrow enough to fit a mazda rx3 without cutting it down, i would imagine it will fit a ke55. LSDs r cheap, easy to come by, and u can choose any ratio, from 3.7-5.1 are readily available.
you would of course need to get ke55 mounts welded onto it, and u might need to shop around a bit to find a diff of the right model/width. but u will find it VERY hard to break with a 4 cyl, unless it is very worn out
