I only know of a front brake upgrade and the credit must go to Terry Obrien.
RA40 serI complete struts. You purchase these, place your ae86 inserts in them, ae86 springs and strut tops. It is a bolt in job after all of that is done. SerI are the easiest as these are the same length as ae86. Unfortunately they have solid rotors but I have upgraded to DBA slotted rotors. If you really want vented there is a way using the ra40 struts but it involves sa63 calipers, mx63 cressida front part of the hubs(the bit with the wheel studs on it) and vented discs of some sort. Can't remember which ones though.
Another reason for changing struts is the fact that the ae86 stub axles are weak. The ra40 ones are far stronger and their wheel bearing is the same as a commodore which makes it easy to find parts.
