best auctions in japan are the yahoo auctions. http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp be sure to have a copy of a GOOD translation program like Systran (drop by if you need it). When IN japan, there are a multitude of auction houses where something rediciulous like 60% of used car sales go through! MAKE DAMN SURE that you buy the most PERFECT car when you get there, so that you can privately import it upon return (have to own it for 12 mnths from memory). My recomendations = MANGO. Nothing less than. Local postal service in japan should be able to send most smallish items to australia, but anything larger you will want to be using something bigger. Easiest way would be to back off someone who already ships containers or large items to australia and pitch in - but finding the person is usually the harder part.
