Registered: May 2002	Re: removing locknuts without a key Mon, 07 March 2005 06:30 There are a number of ways to skin this cat 1) Use a hammer and a cold chisel - the chisel should be sharpened at a wide angle and be biased to one side. Hit the nut in the 'undo' direction. 2) Use some stilsons (aka pipe wrench or monkey wrench). 3) Grind some flats onto the nut and use your favorite shifter/socket/open ended spanner 4) weld a bolt to the nut and just undo it. When you get thinking this is not that big of a deal. [Report message to a moderator]
