bro had this problem with his mr2/ turns out (at least with the bloke he used - tyrepower in morningside brissy) a lot of workshops will have an old socket they use for this purpose - whack it on the rattle gun and away they go at the locknuts.

charge you a few bucks (in his case hed had tyres done so they did it for free) for the job, and takes em all of a few minutes id imagine. usually they'll use a dead socket thats useless to them so its not a biggie.

or any of the previous methods
