that depends on your oil temps. if they get excessive then you will need a better cooler. you can also use a bigger cooler with an oil thermostat to control the temps...
if you are just using bypass type, then maybe not as much point. more efficient (at cooling) to go with full flow cooler, but means you need less pressure drop and higher flow potential.
maybe run two stock coolers in parallel?
or just bite the bullet, spend $200 and get a good setrab/serck/etc cooler with bigger fittings..
