5 Watts is standard power on citizen band so its not illegal!
If you would like to buy a second hand radio I could supply you with a 16 channel programmed with what ever channels you want! It would be a commercial grade portable radio with built in secall! I could also supply 4 NiMH batteries! If you are interested, we can negotiate a price!
