Yeah I got a plate off the xmember,
the passenger side of the rack is round and I have a rubber mount off a holden astra i think that has the right diameter hole in the centre for the rack and it has a flat base.
then on the driver side I use the original ke70 rubber mount as that already has a flat bottom.
the rack is spaced up 6mm for correct height.
then i have holden astra & hmm another car cannot remember metal brackets over the mounts they are like a complete loop down to the base (unlike the ke70/ae86 brackets that are a very low profile). then bolts through the brackets, through the plate with nuts on the bottom.
