So moving the control arm forward , you are also distorting the bushing from running dead straight ? as the toyota stock front end arm is located this old school way with no camber/caster strut scrub axis as found in most 90's on cars .
The jdm 4age power ae86's offset strut top mount adds more caster by not moving the wheel further forward so it rubs the inner wheel arch liner or front bar mounting bolt . Now i remember why i ditched the complete front end again .
As soon as you relocate one adjustment it binds with another area of the suspension  . It's such a basic strut design but it does lend itself to any modification without screwing other areas of alignment . They really didn't have modification in mind i guess without replacing every component from there trd catalog  . Lucky people have spent hours in pick a parts measuring all kinds of other vehicles suspensions to get around these problems .
