Fri, 11 March 2005 10:50 I"m not really sure what the go with doing it is, about the only info that i've found so far is that dueing normal idling the timing sits anywhere between 5 deg and 15 deg and by fitting a lump of wire (or SST 09843-whatever) stops the timing from moving around. But i've always just gone for the old style, hook the timing light to Cyl. #1 and to the battery and then use the "looks good, is good" theory. Cause the bloody hose is in the road Buts about all i can find on as to why... [Report message to a moderator]
